urban permaculture course

In your apartment, on your balcony, in your backyard or garden, this cycle of urban permaculture courses will guide you through the seasons.

1. learn by doing

Challenge yourself to create a bountiful garden, a jungle on your balcony or nourishing windowsills!

At Légumes Perchés we believe that learning comes from doing. We teach you skills that you can use right at home. You’ll learn how to design an urban permaculture project with the help of Légumes Perchés and other community members.

After each course, you’ll leave with seedlings, seeds or organic treatments prepared together, which you can use at home.

Once you’re at home, questions arise – no problem! You have access to online remote coaching via a discussion group.

2. Who is this course designed for?

The course is aimed at anyone wishing to acquire practical knowledge about growing fruit and vegetables, and who wants to learn how to achieve a coherent, low-maintenance, low-resource project.

Whether you have a balcony, windowsill, garden or just want to get your hands in the soil, the course is designed to provide practical knowledge for beginners or those who have already started growing fruit and vegetables.

For optimum personalized help, we limit the group to a maximum of 15 people.

3. how does it work?

The course cycle continues over 6 half-days during the year. During each half-day, you learn to grow vegetables according to the season on our urban farm.

Permaculture principles adapted to urban constraints enable you to develop a personal project over the months. You don’t have to come with an idea for a project, you can simply learn and practice growing vegetables with the other participants. Between courses, you can ask questions to Légumes Perchés or other members of the community, and share photos and recipes in an online discussion group.

4. knowledge acquired after the course

Permaculture and its design, water and fertilization management, methods and supports for soilless cultivation when you don’t have a garden, plant associations and a coherent cultivation calendar, disease and pest management.
