Educational vegetable garden for the Thonex crèche
Context and objective
In an urban environment where nature is in short supply, day-care centers struggle to offer toddlers direct contact with living things. And yet, children’s sensory awareness, motor development and natural curiosity depend on observation, touch and the discovery of biodiversity. Urban agriculture, with its specially adapted educational vegetable gardens, brings nature right into the heart of childcare facilities. Accessible from early childhood, it raises awareness of the seasons, vegetables, respect for living things and healthy eating. These mini-gardens create a strong link with the environment, even in the city. It is fully in line with the values of TotUP, which is committed to offering children the excellence of its services in a stimulating, natural and caring environment.

Programme de la graine à l’assiette
Nous proposons un service spécialement conçu pour les crèches, alliant l’entretien professionnel des potagers à des ateliers ludiques et sensoriels adaptés aux tout-petits. À travers des activités « de la graine à l’assiette », les enfants découvrent les cycles de la nature, les goûts des légumes frais et les gestes du jardinage, en douceur, à leur rythme. L’objectif est clair : reconnecter les jeunes citoyen·nes à la nature et à leur alimentation dès le plus jeune âge. Ce service a été pensé pour soulager les équipes pédagogiques, en assurant un suivi régulier du potager. Résultat : des bacs toujours bien entretenus, abondants, et surtout, jamais laissés à l’abandon, pour que le potager reste un lieu vivant, source de découvertes et de fierté partagée.
