Heroes of the circular economy

Légumes Perchés is one of the four winners of the Swiss StartCup Challenge. The start-up has established itself as a pioneer in urban agriculture in the Lake Geneva region. Among its major projects is Mixcity, Switzerland's first net-zero carbon urban farm, developed with Steiner in Renens. Covering 2,000 m², rooftops and forest gardens surround a mixed industrial and commercial complex. In three years, the company has created several urban farms and recycled 18 tons of green waste. It also trains residents and communities in greening. Founded by Thomas Verduyn, David Bollier, and Constantin Nifachev, the team of six employees aims to expand nationally while remaining faithful to the principles of sustainability and the circular economy.
